REGISTERED DIETITIAN
Job Description
As a member of the multidisciplinary team the Registered Dietitian will
support the activities of the hospital and provide professional services
to the community in collaboration with hospital staff and partner
organizations.
This position will provide a challenging and diverse practice opportunity
with responsibilities that include client counseling in both a hospital
and community setting, with a broad range of needs including participation
in diabetes education. The position also provides the hospital dietary
department with expert advice that includes menu approval, assistance
with menu development, and conducting resident assessments in our
22 long-term bed care unit
Qualifications
• Current registration with the College of Dietitians of Ontario
• Bachelors Degree in Science of Nutrition
• Experience in Long Term Care programs and Diabetes education preferred
• Strong assessment skills and individual program planning
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• The ability to manage multiple program objectives and priorities
• Proficient with computers, MAC system knowledge an asset
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Flexible and able to adapt as the program progresses
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work in an interdisciplinary model within a team environment
This position is a permanent full time position. Application deadline is
