Fort William Historical Park is hiring casual year-round staff and summer
students. All candidates must be able to work flexible hours, have excellent
customer service skills, a keen desire to learn something new, and the
ability to work both on your own and as a member of a team.

Small Engine Repairs/Labourer

Responsible for the maintenance and repair of small engines, both gas and
diesel, including hydraulic equipment. The candidate will also be
responsible for general labour duties such as grounds keeping and special
event set-up.

Reception Duties

The candidate must have excellent communication skills, both oral and
written, excel in client service, and be proficient with Microsoft products
(Word, Excel, and Outlook). Additionally, the candidate will demonstrate the
ability to multi-task and must be self-motivated and solution-oriented.
French language is an asset.

Space Science & Astronomy Programmer

The candidate should have experience as a program instructor with all ages
of students as well as possess knowledge and experience with space science
theories and astronomy. Program creation and development is an asset.

Summer Students
(May – September 2013)

We are looking for students who can speak different languages or play the
bagpipes, fiddle or flute, have certification in Bronze Medallion, ORCA, and
First Aid or CPR. Additionally, experience with drama, public speaking,
living history, working with children, animal care, cash handling, office
work, and trades or equipment operation or a keen interest in history,
particularly Scottish, French Canadian, and Ojibwa heritage is preferred.
