Alumni & Community Relations Director

Lakehead University seeks a seasoned professional to serve as Alumni
and Community Relations Director. This is an opportunity for a talented
administrator with the ability to develop, execute, and manage
comprehensive strategic and fundraising plans for alumni and community
relations.

Reporting to the Vice-President, External Relations, the incumbent will
develop and manage a multi-faceted strategy, encompassing alumni and
community relations including all aspects of fundraising and alumni affinity
programs. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Alumni Association
of Lakehead University (AALU) and serve as an active member on a
number of Alumni Association committees.

The successful candidate has a university degree and a fundraising
designation along with a minimum of five years of related experience.
Specifically, the incumbent has proven expertise in fundraising
management including the creation and execution of strategic plans.
Senior experience in managing staff and volunteers as well as a
demonstrated track record in negotiating and closing sponsorships
are critical to this role. Exceptional written and oral communication skills
are essential.
