Pharmacist Opportunities
St. Joseph's Care Group is a recognized leader in Northwestern Ontario in
the provision of complex care, rehabilitation, long term care, mental health
and addiction services. The Care Group operates on a program management
model, providing clinet-centred services with an emphasis on
inter-professional collaboration and evidence-based practice.
A full-time temporary position is available at St. Joseph's Hospital for
approximately one year. We will also consider applications from individuals
interested in working in a part-time or casual basis.
The Pharmacist in this role provides pharmaceutical care in a variety of
clinical practice areas within St. Joseph's Hospital as well as providing
occasional coverage, as needed, at the Lakehead Psychiatric Hospital. The
Pharmacist participates in direct client care activities (drug therapy
recommendations, participation in rounds, provision of drug information to
clients and staff), with a component of time supporting the drug
distribution system.
Qualified applicants must be licensed with the Ontario College of
Pharmacists, Part A registration. Candidates also require a working
knowledge of the pharmaceutical care process, excellent communication and
problem solving skills and demonstrated computer proficiency. We welcome
applications from pharmacists without hospital experience and will work with
them to become part of our Pharmacy team. A competitive remuneration and
