RIPKU The family of the late Joseph Ripku (Chief) wish to thank our extended families, friends, co-workers and neighbours who kindly brought flowers, fruit baskets, food and sent cards during this difficult time. We would also like to thank all those who made charitable donations in memory of our wonderful father. Thank you to the Anderson Clan who all came to honour Dad. We are grateful to Father Richard Kowalchuk, the Corpus Christi Choir and the Knights of Columbus for the touching service. We thank Everest Funeral Chapel for their caring and professionalism. Thank you to the police and paramedics who showed so much compassion. Thank you to all of Dads friends who made the years bearable and enjoyable since our Mothers passing. It is the relationships that we build which truly make our lives richer. Dad and Mom were soul mates and are together at last. ~ Sincerely, Lynne, Lorraine, Debbie, Joe Jr. and families |

Once you had put the pieces back together, even though you may look intact, you were never quite the same as you'd bee before the fall.
- Jodi Picoult
As we work toward finding peace and quite frankly, our breath sometimes, we pause to give thanks.
Please accept the families most sincere thanks to all who were present over the past difficult weeks however that may be, whether in thoughts, prayers, person, or spirit. Special thanks to Uncle Vic who beautifully officiated and to Fort William First Nation for your support and generosity.
All acts of kindness, gestures and support will be fondly remembered in our time of need and great sorrow.
Thank you so much.

During this difficult time in our lives, we are amazed by the kindness and thoughtfulness of our family, friends, co-workers and acquaintances. Your emails, cards, food, gift baskets and hugs will not be forgotten. Ryan touched so many lives in this world. We appreciated reading and hearing stories that you shared.
Thank you to Vic Pelletier; the members, Chief and Council of the Fort William First Nations and Thunder Bay Police Service members. To the friends of Diane you all have been my shoulders to lean and cry on. Danielle's friends and co-workers have been phenomenal during this painful time. We know we have a tough time ahead but take comfort in knowing we have our family and friends to help us. Thank you all.
Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.
Baamaapii Giigawabom Minawah Until later, see you again.
