Professional Medical Services and Non Medical Retail Services at the Centre of
Excellence for Integrated Seniors’ Services (CEISS), Thunder Bay, ON
St. Joseph’s Care Group seeks to qualify respondents to participate in a future
procurement process(s) for the delivery of professional medical services, and non
- medical retail services at St. Joseph's Care Group’s Centre of Excellence for
Integrated Seniors’ Services (CEISS), Thunder Bay Ontario.
The required Services will be delivered from a retail area of the CEISS complex
know as "the Link", The Link will physically connect the CEISS’s 544-bed long
term care home and its 132 supportive housing apartments.
The Care Group is receptive to innovative and creative arrangements including but
not limited to, single tenant arrangements, site/building developer/development
arrangements, joint ventures and/or partnership arrangements, and alternate
financing/ownership arrangements.
The professional medical and non - medical retail services are to be developed
on the CEISS site with an emphasis on providing for the needs of persons living
in a supportive housing and long-term care home, while at the same time serving
as a community resource providing services and support to the neighbouring
community. The Services include:
1. A fully staffed and accredited;
a. Professional pharmacy operation (including a retail convenience store
& postal operation),
b. Audiology clinic that provides a complete range of professional
audiology services,
c. Dental practice that provides a full range of professional dental services,
d. Denturist practice that provides a full range of professional denturist services,
e. Optometry practice that provides a full range of professional optometrist
services,
f. Medical laboratory that provides a full range of diagnostic testing services.
2. A fully staffed and accredited seniors health centre that provides the following
professional medical services:
a. Medical Doctor - Physician (General Practitioner) potential to operate in
a private practice model,
b. Other healthcare professionals associated with a supportive housing and
or long term care home,
c. Nurse Practitioner,
d. Diagnostic imaging operations with the capability to perform a full range of
diagnostic imaging services including portable x-ray activities,
e. Massage Therapist,
3. A fully staffed and operated licensed hair dresser/barber operation.
4. A fully staffed and operated restaurant operated in a "coffee shop" format.
