This project involves construction work associated with mechanical
and electrical upgrades at Our Lady of Lourdes School,
Manitouwadge. Mechanical work generally includes installation of
eleven new unit ventilators, piping, pumps, and related mechanical
work. Electrical generally includes electrical work for mechanical
equipment upgrades.
Specifications and Contract Drawings are available at a non-refundable
cost of $50 per set made payable to Engineering Northwest Ltd.
Contract documents will be available Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at the
office of Engineering Northwest Ltd. Plans are available for viewing at
the Thunder Bay Construction Association.
A mandatory pre-tender site meeting will be conducted at the main
office, at 10:00 am, Friday, May 25, Our Lady of Lourdes School, 7
Flicker Street, Manitouwadge.
A Bid Bond or Certified Cheque by a surety company in the amount of
10% of the bid must accompany each bid submitted. The successful
tenderer will be required to provide a 100% Performance Bond and a
50% Labour and Material Payment Bond.
The lowest or any Tender need not necessarily be accepted.

Nipigon Water Treatment Plant Improvements

SEALED TENDERS, in envelopes, clearly marked as to contents will be
received by:

up until 3:00 p.m. local time on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 for construction
of the above, in the Township of Nipigon.
The work consists of the following major items:
• Decommissioning and removal of existing civil, mechanical and electrical
works
• Modifications to existing settling tanks to allow installation of new equipment
• Installation of tube settlers and support structures in existing settling tanks
• Installation of sludge collection system in existing settling tanks
• Various mechanical and electrical work, including actuated valves
Each tender must be accompanied with a tender deposit in the form of a
certified cheque or Bid Bond in the amount of $25,000.00 payable to the
“Corporation of the Township of Nipigon” as per tender requirements,
along with a signed Agreement to Bond for 100% Performance and 50%
Labour and Material Payment.
Digital or hard copy plans, specifications and other contract documents
may be obtained from the office of GENIVAR Inc. (Owen Sound) for the
sum of $75.00, including HST. Cheque to be made payable to the
“Corporation of the Township of Nipigon”, which sum will not be refunded.
Digital plans, specifications and other contract documents may also be
obtained directly from the Township of Nipigon for the same sum of
$75.00 including HST (one (1) hard copy of all documents will be mailed,
if purchased directly from the Township of Nipigon).
