The forest fire situation in Northwestern Ontario continues to spiral out of control.
Heavy smoke prompted the evacuation of another 950 elderly, children and those with respiratory problems from two remote First Nation communities on Monday.
Fire information officer Deb MacLean said that the fire situation remains extreme with 94 active fires, burning more than 254,000 hectares in the region.
