Thunder Bay’s Ryan Johnson has accepted a professional hockey tryout with the Detroit Red Wings.
The 6-foot-1, 200-pound centre played in 34 games with the Chicago Blackhawks last season, collecting a goal and five assists.
Johnson, 35, was drafted in the second round (36th overall) by the Florida Panthers in the 1994 NHL entry draft.
