A “mess” stemming from a long history of abuses by the government, including land disputes and residential schools, has to be cleaned up, says a scholar residence at Lakehead University.
Cynthia Wesley-Esquimaux addressed a Grade 12 world issues class at Westgate high school on Monday about the truth and reconciliation process between Canada’s government and First Nations.
