How to Stay Young - Novel Approaches to Aging, presented by CIHR (Canadian Institutes of Health Research), Friday, 5-6:30 p.m., Auditorium A/B, 3rd level, Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, 980 Oliver Road. By understanding how to prevent or reduce the impact of aging, CIHR researchers are identifying novel approaches for treating the leading causes of death (heart attacks, strokes, cancers, aneurysm, lung disease) in the elderly. This event will highlight some of the research being performed in Canada that addresses these topics. This event is free and open to the public. Food and parking passes provided. Fundraiser for Michael, Friday at Crocks, 8 p.m. Some of Thunder Bay’s top musicians will come together for one night to raise funds in support of young Michael Michon who has terminal cancer.
