Chloe Hays, a Grade 5 student at St. Pius X School, plants a cream pie in teacher Doris McGuire’s face during Wednesday’s wrapup to a successful Terry Fox Foundation fundraising event. Hays was chosen by her class to be the first to throw a pie at a teacher to mark her own successful fundraising efforts. Students and staff at the north-side school raised $5,467.08 for cancer research.
