Laine McKay, Tyler Minoletti and Mitchell Caruso each scored two goals as the Kings blanked the Capitals 10-0 to sweep their three games series. Thunder Bay posted victories over Central Plains by scores of 12-4 and 9-2 earlier in the weekend to improve to 18-5-2.
Meanwhile, the Thunder Bay MNP Major Midget Kings defeated the Shattuck-St. Mary’s Sabres 5-2 in Northern Lakes league play on Sunday. The clubs tied their two previous encounters this weekend.
