Picture perfect evening for music
Mother Nature has finally given Thunder Bay a taste of warm summer temperatures, and many residents celebrated Wednesday by heading down to Prince Arthur’s Landing for an evening of live music.
People of all ages flocked to the waterfront site on a clear and sunny Wednesday evening to take in the seventh annual Superior Youth Festival.
“It’s wonderful,” said Sandie Beattie, who was accompanied by daughters Emily and Fiona as well as their friends Brooklyn McBain and Chayse Holland.
“It’s finally warm and it’s a beautiful night and there are a lot of people out.”
Festival co-ordinator and founder Jean-Paul De Roover said he anticipated that the ideal conditions would result in one of the higher attendance rates for any summer event held at the site.
