Murillo classic draws crowds
With another August nearly in the books, one of the region’s longest-running rural showcases has capped another successful weekend.
People flocked to the 122nd Murillo Fair for the second day of the venerable country fair to take in entertainment, eat and enjoy country living on a sweltering Sunday afternoon.

“It’s very hot,” Thordarson responded immediately when interviewed just after noon. “I think we have a bigger crowd (Sunday), that’s for sure. The weather and a few other events in the city kept the crowd down a bit (Saturday), but I think overall things are going very well.”
