Dodgers 1 win away from title
Daryl Fuchihara went 2-for-4 and hit a run-scoring double in the first inning to lead the Daytona Dodgers to a 3-1 victory over the Coastal Steele Orioles in Game 4 of the Thunder Bay Senior Baseball Association final at Baseball Central.
With the win, the Dodgers lead the best-of-seven series 3-1.
Dodgers pitcher Adam Josefchak, who earlier in the evening won the league’s most valuable player award, picked up the win, tossing a complete game four-hitter and struck out seven.
Orioles hurler Chris Kovac was saddled with the loss, tossing a complete game seven-hitter and striking out five in a game that took only one hour and 26 minutes to complete.
Kovac led the Orioles with a pair of hits and knocked in Coastal Steele’s only run.
The Dodgers can wrap up the series in Game 5 on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Baseball Central.
