Gord Lowen of the Salvation Army serves hot chocolate, soup and sandwiches from the food truck Wednesday night with -21 C temperatures at the time. Lowen said users drop in the cold weather, but the diehards do come out. In October and November, up to 120 people lined up for food. Funds from The Salvation Army’s Christmas Kettle campaign support operation of the food truck. So far the Kettle campaign is down compared to this time last year. (Brent Linton)
