Construction forecast looks ‘promising’

More than 5,000 tradespeople will be needed for construction jobs in Northwestern Ontario over the next five years, says a report released Tuesday by the North Superior Workforce Planning Board.
The Construction Labour Market Outlook provides projections of skilled trades needs in the region for 2014-2018, as well as insight into various economic scenarios to meet that demand.
Planning board executive director Madge Richardson told The Chronicle-Journal that the report’s numbers are “very encouraging.
