Gravelle rolls to victory

To no great surprise — except perhaps the size of the victory — veteran Liberal MPP Michael Gravelle kept his seat by a large margin in Thursday’s provincial election, as the Grits hung on to Northwestern Ontario’s two main ridings.
The 65-year-old Gravelle, who before the election held the Northern Development and Mines portfolio, has consistently won in Thunder Bay-Superior North for nearly 20 years.
On Thursday, Gravelle pulled ahead early on NDP challenger and Thunder Bay city councillor Andrew Foulds.
Gravelle never looked back.
