Contract talks hit snag
Talks between Bombardier Transportation and the union representing 800 workers at the company’s Thunder Bay light-rail plant broke off “abruptly” Saturday afternoon, as Monday’s strike deadline loomed.
According to a Unifor Local 1075 news release, (Bombardier officials) “rejected our last offer outright and walked away from the table.”
Unifor has said workers will hit the picket line if there is no agreement reached by Monday at 2 p.m.
