Redundant school systems discriminatory, expensive

Saturday, September 25, 2010

I have to say that I am getting very tired of the illusion that is projected every year when the Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) releases its assessments (Thunder Bay Catholic Pupils Above Average, C-J, Sept. 16).
The article and the assessments both imply that the Catholic school system is somehow superior to the public school system, that it is doing everything better. And this is why many people believe the Catholic system should be maintained.
Do they have any idea why these figures can be looked at as tainted?
