Camp visitors pay, too
From a letter to Bill Mauro, MPP, Thunder Bay-Atikokan:
My sister and I have been camping at Kakabeka Falls Provincial Park for the past 15 years. Family members like to check on us periodically as we are seniors with some health issues.
This year there was a charge to visit our camp site. As we already pay a goodly sum to rent this lot and there is ample parking on the lot for an extra vehicle without impeding the flow of traffic in any way, we find the charge unnecessary and exorbitant.
The Ontario government encourages the use of our parks. Many from out of town like to camp at the park and have family and friends visit and spend time with them. With these extra charges, we can understand why some choose Walmart parking lot.
We trust you will look into this matter and have these ridiculous charges removed.
