This year’s Thunder Bay Art Gallery’s annual art auction will be held Sept. 30 and it comes with a fresh new look.
Two young, exciting and entertaining Thunder Bay personalities will host the event. Michael Nitz will be auctioneer and Spencer Hari will be the MC.
What has not changed is the quality and quantity of artwork. More than 40 works in a variety of mediums by some of the area’s best established and emerging artists will be up for bidding.
Raffle prizes include two tickets to the Nov. 12 Wine & Food Festival in Lutsen, Minn., and two night’s accommodation. Another prize is a sterling silver open pod pendant crafted by Thunder Bay silversmith Linda Brown.
Attendees have a chance to grow art collection - or start one -in a fun, social atmosphere. Proceeds support the Thunder Bay Art Gallery so they can continue to deliver quality art education and exhibition programs 12 months of the year.
Seats, which are limited, can be reserved for $50 each and tables of eight can be bought for $400. Call the Gallery at 577 6427 or visit at 1080 Keewatin St., on Confederation College campus.
