Well-known cartoonist coming to town

From the Lynn Johnston Collection, Isn't She Beautiful (March 31, 1991). Johnston will be featured at the Thunder Bay Art Gallery.

Fans of renowned Canadian cartoonist Lynn Johnston will have a chance to meet the artist in person this week at the Thunder Bay Art Gallery.

Johnston, whose iconic comic strip appears daily in The Chronicle-Journal, is having a retrospective of her work featured at a gallery exhibition until March 6.

"The exhibition gives a behind-the-scenes look at Johnston's creative process, her life, and the many doors that were opened for her along (the strip's 30-year history)," said a gallery news release.

Lynn Johnston will be speaking at the opening reception Thursday, January 21 at 7:30 p.m. sharp. Doors open at 7:00 p.m.

On Friday, January 22 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., she will be at her exhibition for an informal meet and greet with the public – no formal talk – she will sign books if time etc. allows.

 The gallery is located at Confederation College.

Cost for  Thursday is $20 Adults | $10 Students with card | $15 Art Gallery Members. (+ HST)

Cost for Friday is PAY WHAT YOU CAN – suggested $5 including HST
