The Thunder Bay Art Gallery is presenting, for the first time, the Art in Design Spring Home Tour.

The self-guided home tour, set for Saturday, May 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m, is designed to inspire participants to think of new ideas to decorate and design their current or future homes with the latest trends. All proceeds from the tour support the Thunder Bay Art Gallery programming and exhibition costs.

With each home on the tour, the focus is on interior design and decor. The gallery has partnered with local designers, developers and decorators for the homes. A unique part of this tour is that artwork by regional artists will be displayed in the homes. The artists participating in the tour are Susan Dykstra, Leslie Shaw, Patrick Doyle and Maria Matuszewska. This will a sneak peek of artwork set to be auctioned off at the annual Art Auction on June 3.

Tickets are $25 ($20 for members) and are available at the Thunder Bay Art Gallery, Portobello Home at 271 Bay St., and Arcuo Interior Designs at 202 Red River Rd. Tickets can also be reserved by calling 577-6427.
