LOOKING for a way to cure the mid-winter blues?

Look no further than the Polish Hall on Court Street this Saturday night for a high-spirited evening of great folk and roots music.

The Vancouver group, Fugitives, have garnered a fistful of music award nominations over the past 10 years and have legions of fans across Canada and the U.K.

The group is known for their high-energy live performances. The CBC says their live shows “are simply brilliant.”

The Georgia Strait calls them “the missing link between Leonard Cohen and the Pogues.” Check them out at www.fugitives.ca.

Tickets for Saturday’s show are available at Fireweed, Chaltrek and the door. The Fugitives are also performing in Dryden on Wednesday, Fort Frances on Thursday, Atikokan on Friday and Geraldton on Sunday.
