The Thunder Bay Country Market was open again on Saturday after taking a break over the holiday season.
Vendors closed up shop on Dec. 22 after a busy run up to the holidays. Barry Tabor of Bears, Bees and Honey said this year was one of the best they had selling their gift baskets in the month before Christmas, having offered smaller gift items with prices to match.
While many vendors agree that the return after the holidays is much quieter, with January and February being two of the slowest months at the market, Tabor said it was good to be back, officially becoming a full-time vendor on Saturday.
“It’s nice to see people you haven’t seen (over the break) and it’s nice to see the regulars and the new people,” said Tabor.
The market is back to its regular hours of 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays and 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays.
