Suspect sought

A store surveillance image shows the woman police are seeking in connection with a Thursday robbery attempt at a North May Street convenience store.

Thunder Bay police are seeking a woman in her 30s following a robbery attempt Thursday afternoon at a south-side convenience store.

Police said a woman entered a North May Street Circle K outlet armed with a syringe, but was ultimately unsuccessful in making off with any goods. She fled the store on foot down May Street.

The suspect is described as Indigenous with a medium built. At the time of the incident, she was wearing a black undershirt, grey leggings and sandals. During the robbery attempt, police said, she held a checkered flannel shirt over her head.
