Rock hard kindness

The Thunder Bay Rocks Facebook group is inspired by the kindness rock movement, where people paint rocks and hide them for others to discover and then either keep or re-hide.

Jordin Shumka and her mom Kate are planning to paint 100 rocks by the end of summer.

Jordin, 10, and Kate are just two of the thousands of members of the Thunder Bay Rocks Facebook group. Based off the kindness rock movement, individuals paint rocks, and hide them in public locations in and around the city for others to discover.

Anyone who finds a rock is asked to take a photo, post it to the group and then either keep the rock or hide it again for someone else to find.
