City police arrested a 23-year-old man for breach of parole less within hours of his release on Wednesday.
According to a Thunder Bay Police Service media release, the accused was freed from Thunder Bay District Jail just before 2 p.m. Wednesday. He was arrested by the police service’s intelligence unit at a restaurant in the 800 block of Memorial Avenue just before 4 p.m.
Police say Noel Perez, 23, was returned to custody after being observed meeting with known criminals — a breach of his parole conditions.
The allegations have not been proven in court.
