The agency that advocates for Northwestern Ontario’s energy needs is urging the province to approve construction of a new high-voltage power line east of Thunder Bay before the snow flies, and avoid what it claims is a costly alternative bid for the project.

In a letter this week to Energy Minister Greg Rickford, Common Voice Northwest reaffirmed its support for a proposal by Toronto developer NextBridge Infrastructure, saying further delay will put 200 construction jobs at risk.
