Trying out the Musket

For Reggie Duncan, Canada means peace, love, friendship and freedom.

Duncan expressed his deep sentiment for the country after taking part in a free pancake breakfast at Grace Evangelical Free Church on Monday while attaching a Canadian flag to his bicycle.

Duncan said that the breakfast hosted by the church is proof of the peace, love and friendship embodied by the core of the country.

Grace Evangelical Free Church has hosted the breakfast for seven years with enough pancakes and sausage to feed 600 people.

Darren Wright, the pastor for the church, said “we love giving back to the community and showing our love and God’s love to everyone around.”

Wright said invitations were delivered to homes in and around the Court Street church as a way to be friends with the community. And Canada Day is a perfect opportunity to reach out to the neighbourhood.
