Students are getting an opportunity to learn about careers in natural resources through a camp offered at Confederation College.

“Our summer camps are for students to check out and see what we offer at the campus and get familiar with the campus,” said Ashley Hancharik of Confederation College.

This gives them time to start thinking about the future and to see what careers they can explore, she said.

The Rooted in Nature Adventure Camp has a focus on natural resources. Students are getting to learn about biology, forestry and entrepreneurship. Participants will be outdoors throughout the week discovering, identifying and learning about the traditional uses of trees, plants, rocks and animal habitat.
