(August 30, 1948 - August 18, 2001)My best friend and love of my life passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's Hospice with his family at his side. Ed was born , raised, and educated in Thunder Bay. Ed was employed as a sheet metal worker for Manitoba Pool I. Ed enjoyed male bonding with "the guys" hunting and fishing.These past few years, Ed and I enjoyed building the home of our dreams. My husband is survived by the two joys of his life: Keri, of Winnipeg and Laura. Ed's father Ernie, sisters Rosanne Kavalchuk (Brian) and Maureen Malcolm (Don), brothers-in-law Bob Gallinger (Dorothy) and Ken Gallinger (Rhonda), and numerous nieces and nephews and relatives in Sweden. Ed was predeceased by his mom Gertie Anderson (1973), niece Nicole Kavalchuk (1984), brother Russell Anderson (1994), brother-in-law Gary Gallinger (1987) and his mother-in-law June Gallinger (1987) and father-in-law Al Gallinger (1994).Memorial funeral services for Ed will be held on Wednesday, August 22, 2001 at 10:00 A.M. in the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 W. Gore Street at James with Rev. Louis Natzke officiating. Interment will take place at a later date at Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation would be appreciated.Ed, you will always be in my heart.Love Judy.
