Anderson, Elizabeth "Betty "
Mrs. Elizabeth "Betty" Anderson age 81 years of Pioneer Drive passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's Hospital on Thursday, February 8, 2007. Betty was born in Fort William and was raised on Harkness Street. She attended Isabella St. School and Fort William Collegiate followed by employment at Canada Car and Chapples in the china department. Betty treasured her summers at camp on Lake Superior with family and friends. She enjoyed tennis, canoeing, cross country skiing and in recent years her bridge group and the activities at the Pioneer Seniors Club. Betty was always there to celebrate special occasions with family and friends where she brought lots of laughter and joy. Betty will be sadly missed by her husband of 58 years Bud and children Lynda Anderson (Graham) Betty Ann Kruger (Keith), Lori Dysievick (Brian) and son James Anderson, her grandchildren Jennifer (Adam), Jason, Heather, Kristi, Riley, Kyle and Katie. Betty's grandchildren all have special memories of the time she spent with them. She is survived by sisters Pegge Budd of Victoria BC and Clarice Basford (Bert) of Sault Ste. Marie, sister-in-law Norman Robbins of Victoria, BC and Brother-in-law Jimmy Anderson (Shirley). Many nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. Betty was predeceased by her Brother- in-law Howard Budd and Niece Judith Berbenuik. A Private Family Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. , on Monday, February 12th, 2007 in the Chapel at St. Joseph's Heritage, 63 Carrie Street. If friends so desire donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Society or The Arthritis Society.
