It is with deep sadness that the family of Mr. Robert Bob Anderson announces his passing on Monday, September 26, 2011 at Pinewood Court Long Term Care Centre.
A lifelong resident of Thunder Bay, Bob was employed as a millwright at Provincial Papers/ Cascades Mill, retiring several years ago due to poor health. Bob enjoyed camping and fishing with his family and friends as well as relating stories about his experiences in the Militia Army Service Corps. His greatest passions were his family, stock car racing and working along side Bob Sr., coffee in hand, in his garage on weekends. He will be remembered for his generous nature, warm heart and wonderful sense of humour.
Bob was predeceased by his parents Bob (September 18, 1993) and Shirley (January 5, 1998) Anderson.
He is survived by his wife Nancy, step-son Randy Rostie (Lynn), sister Lynda Campbell (Ed), brother Jim (Janice) and nephews Kelly, Darren and Mark.
The family would like to express its sincere gratitude to the staff at Pinewood Court for the care given and compassion shown to Bob over the years.
In accordance with Bob's wishes, cremation has taken place. In Celebration of Bob's Life, a private Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2011. As expressions of sympathy, memorials to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Westfort Chapel, 420 West Gore Street at James.
