Anderson, Vernon Bud

Mr. Vernon Bud Anderson, aged 86 years, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre on Thursday, Dec. 17th, 2009. Bud was born in Port Arthur on May 27th, 1923. He enlisted at the age of 17 with the Royal Canadian Naval Reserve. Bud was married to his beloved wife Elizabeth Betty for 58 years and together they lived in Thunder Bay, raising 4 children. Bud was a loving and dedicated husband, father and grandfather and the well being of his family were always his priority. He especially enjoyed spending summers at camp on Lake Superior. Bud will be lovingly remembered by his children and grandchildren. He is survived by daughters Lynda Anderson(Graham MacKenzie) Dryden, Betty Ann Kruger (Keith), Lori Dysievick (Brian) and son James Anderson, Nipigon. Grandchildren Jennifer and Jason Eisenbach, Heather, Kristi and Riley Dysievick, Kyle and Katie Anderson. Also survived by siblings Norma Robbins, Victoria BC, Jimmy Anderson(Shirley), Qualicum Beach, BC, brothers and sisters-in-law Clarice (Bert) Basford, Sault Ste Marie, ON, Pegge Budd, Victoria BC. Bud was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth (Betty) on Feb. 8th, 2007. A Private Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 22nd, 2009, in St. Patrick s Cathedral, celebrated by Rev. Msgr. P.M. Stilla, V.G. If friends so desire donations may be made to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation - Northern Cancer Fund.
