BÈGin, Jean Paul
Jean Paul BÈgin passed away peacefully on January 21, 2006 at the T.B.R.H.S.C. with his loving family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born August 29, 1943 in Hearst, Ontario where he was raised. He then started working construction and was a member of the Construction & Allied Workers Local Union 607 in Thunder Bay. He enjoyed cooking, gardening, carpentry, the Montreal Canadiens and most of all he loved his girls and family. Jean Paul is survived by his loving and caring wife Hazel and 2 daughters Candace BÈgin and Lori (Rob) Traer. Three granddaughters Amelia and Heidi Traer and Reese BÈgin. Siblings: Julien (Yolande), Raymond (Mildred), Roland (Rose), Andre, Claire (Maurice)Leclair, Suzanne (Henry) Wieler, Germaine (Ulysse) Landry, Francoise (Fern), Claude (Patricia), Adrien (Marjolaine), Rejeanne (Jean Pierre) Aary, Diane (Normand) Cimon and sister-in-law Angelaine BÈgin. In-laws: Gerald Snyder, Mabel (Don) Wiebe, Vera (Orval) Woolsey, Barney (Debi) Snyder, Bonnie (Wayne) Jobson, as well as many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his parents Jules and Antonia, along with his brother Emile. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Wednesday January 25, 2006 at 10:30am at Corpus Christi Church, 664 Red River Road with Father Richard officiating and a reception in the church hall to follow. A private interment in Hearst will be held at a later date. If friends and family so desire donations can be made to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation.
