Bailey, Rose Sophie (Kozy)
The World's Greatest Mom" April 8th, 1929 ~ May 4th, 2009 Rose Bailey mother of James Graham (Jim) Bailey and Brenda Beswarick, Mitchell (late) has travelled on to be with her daughter. Born and raised in Thunder Bay, Hymers, Rose lived most of her life in Thunder Bay, then moving later in life to Terrace and finally Princeton, BC. Rose lived a full and vibrant life right to the very end. Rose had a long career in the restaurant and customer service industry. Lastly prior to retiring to BC Rose spent numerous years as a favourite server at the Polynesian Room at the Adanac Hotel as well as running the cafeteria at Candy Mtn. Ski Resort for 17 years. Known to many as Mom, Ma, Maude and even Rocky Rose, Rose definitely touched many people with her strong work ethic, honesty and sincerity, love for her children and grandchildren and great grandchildren. Rose is survived by her life partner Ron Millar, son Jim Bailey (Teresa), grandsons, Landon and Dallas Bailey, as well as granddaughters Tammy & Blair Plamondon (nee O‘Connor), Edmonton, Kim O‘Connor & Dean Kazmerowich, Winnipeg, Kelly O‘Connor, Edmonton as well as great grandchildren, Desire and Jason Buyco, Markell Thomas as well as Brianna Plamondon all of Edmonton, Michael and Daniel Kazmerowich, Winnipeg, Man. and stepdaughter Ester Johnstone (Millar). Rose will be cremated and laid to rest in Mountainview Cemetery at a later date. An informal, open Memorial will be held on Tuesday, May 12th from 11am to 2pm at St. Joseph's Heritage, Georgian Room. It would be nice to have you attend and share a favourite Rocky Rose story. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
