Baker, Nancy Yoshiye

Mrs. Nancy Yoshiye Baker, of Thunder Bay, Ontario passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2005 at St. Joseph's Hospice following a courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by her parents Seisho and Matsuko Shima and brother Seiyei. She is survived by her husband Don and son Ron (Karen); granddaughter Kiyomi; sisters Miyoko (Yosh) Fujimoto, Naoko (Art) Tamayose, Meiko (Robert) Pennock and Sandy (Mas) Shigehiro; brothers Ray Shima, Dave Shima and Randy (Bev) Shima; godparents Ann Galley and Jim Beck. Numerous nieces, nephews and many very special friends also survive. A funeral mass will be celebrated by Rev. Msgr. P.M. Stilla, V.G. on Wednesday, September 21 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Cathedral. Donations in memory of Nancy may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to St. Joseph's Hospice, Thunder Bay. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the caregivers at St. Joseph's Hospice for the exceptional care given to Nancy.
