1926-2009 Mr. Robert "Bob" George Baker, 83 years, passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness. Bob enjoyed many years of fishing and blueberry picking out at the family camp at Lac Des Mille Lac. Bob worked many jobs starting with an apprenticeship at Cross Machine Shop, then a machinist at CPR followed by Dingwell's Machine Shop, eventually becoming part owner until his semi retirement. He is predeceased by his parents Elizabeth and Samuel, brother Jack, sisters Barbara and Kathy. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Shirley (nee Cunningham), 3 children Eldest son Jerry (Evon), Dave (Debbie) and daughter Nancy, 4 granddaughters Kim (Chris), Lindsay, Crystal and Robyn, all of Thunder Bay, brother Don and sister Elsie. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Cremation has taken place and at Bob's request no service will be held. In lieu of flowers, friends so wishing may make donations to the Thunder Bay and District Humane Society, PAWS or the animal charity of their choice.
