BARONMrs. Margaret Baron, passed away peacefully at Versa Care Home for the Aged on Thursday, October 18, 2001, at the age of 92 years. Margaret was born in Austria-Hungary and came with her son Jakob to join her husband in Canada in 1950. Margaret had a wonderful sense of humour. When her grandchildren were young, she would watch cartoons with them and laugh uproariously. She also loved gardening, Kaffee Klatches, and playing cards with her family and was a member of the German Canadian Association. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Jakob and Gretel Baron. Granny to Manfred and Susan Baron, Doug and Irene Cole. Grand-nana to Jean Pierre and Werner Baron, and Darrell and Andrea Cole. Numerous nieces and nephews in Austria and Germany also survive. Predeceased by husband Phillip in 1971, grandson Harold in 1974, and sisters Elisabetha and Kristina in Germany. According to Margaret's wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a private family service at a later date.
