Boyd, Robert (Bob) White Forrest

Mr. Robert (Bob) White Forrest Boyd age 76 passed away peacefully with his daughter Shiela by his side, at the Geraldton District Hospital on September 15th, 2007 Bob immigrated to Canada with the Hudson's Bay Company in 1951, his first posting was in Fort Severn from there he was transferred to Lac Seul. Here is where he met mother along with her family. Dad the trapper emerged along side his future brother in-laws. Bob moved his family to Pickle Lake where he worked for Tans Air Airways. After winning a small pot in the Irish Sweepstakes, Bob moved his family back to Scotland, before coming back to Canada to live in South Gillis. From here he moved to Geraldton where he worked for the Geraldton High School until his retirement. Bob's greatest love was his family, his second was his writings. He has written many poems and short stories that have entertained all that knew him. He was a gadget man, someone who would use his imagination and build just about anything. He loved a good joke and was always willing to play a practical joke on someone. Bob was acknowledged for his donations by the students of the Geraldton High School, the Royal Canadian Legion and the Geraldton District Hospital Robert (Bob) will be sadly missed by his daughters Shiela Jackson and Jackie Roy his grandchildren Rob, Ryan, Rick, Christian, Gillian, and Jenna his great grandchildren McKenna, Harrison (Rob) His brother Jackson (Jack), his niece Rebecca and nephew Andrew of Scotland, his brother in-laws Fritz, Dave and Gordon. Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. Robert was predeceased by his wife Jessie, his son James (Jim) his parents Robert and Margaret. The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff who took such good care of dad while he was a resident of the John Evan's Residence. A memorial service will be held in Geraldton, Ontario on September 29th at 7:00 pm at St. James Anglican Church. Rev. Hal Graham will perform the service. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in Robert (Bob‘s) memory to the John Evans Residence of Geraldton God Speed Dad
