BROWN (JUHALA), AILEEN EMELIA

The family of Aileen was by her side as she peacefully passed away on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Hospice after a courageous battle with lung cancer. 
 
She was born in Finland, Ontario on April 2, 1930 to Ville and Annie Juhala (Pietila). She was predeceased by her parents, her first husband David Brown and second husband Wally Conners, an infant son at birth, Andrew, sister Esterii, brother Huugo, granddaughter Amanda Jerry and brother-in-law Percy Gallinger.
 
Mom is survived by her sister, Siiri Gallinger and sisters-in-law Jean Werner and Lilia Williamson.  Her children, Wyoma (William) Fauconnier, her daughter-of-the-heart, Carmen (Phil) Williamson, Fred (Carole) Brown, Ted (Lorna) Brown, Sid Brown, Vicki (Angel) Laguillona, Julie (Jeff) McTavish.  Her grandchildren Theresa (Rob) Panizza, Dana (Mike) Davis, Tara (Wayne) Gilbert, Mia Williamson, Tamara (Mike) Szanto, Kevin (Barb) Jerry, Jennifer Zappitelli, Thrisha (Tim) Chabot, David Brown, Tammy Brown, Andrew Brown, Angela Brown, Teresa Laguillona, Freddy Laguillona, Anikka  McTavish, Jordan McTavish, Her great grandchildren Matthew, Katie, Madelyn, Courtney, Reid, Ryker, Marlee, Mattie, Daffni, Aili, Chloe Lyn, Charlee, Sebastian, Sydney, Ariella. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews, in Canada and Finland, Europe.
 
Mom grew up in Finland, Ontario where she enjoyed the outdoors and nature. She lived her life to the fullest, she saw life the way she wanted and lived it accordingly.  She loved her family and was very proud of all their accomplishments.  She was a wonderful cook with a sweet tooth, an entrepreneur, and loved to garden.   Mom was a gifted woman who created many different kinds of crafts.  She was a “hip lady” who enjoyed Facebook to communicate with family and friends.

There will be no funeral service as per her wishes. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, April 1, 2012 from 1-4pm at the Vickers Heights Community Centre, 1695 Broadway Avenue, Thunder Bay.  Interment will follow on June 23, 2012 in Finland, Ontario.  For friends and family from the Fort Frances area there will be a Come-and-Go Tea held in Mom’s honour to be announced at a later date.
 
Thank you to everyone who has been a part of Mom’s life, your kindness is truly appreciated.  To Dr. M. Anthes, Dr. D. Vergidis, the nursing staff and doctors of St. Joseph’s Palliative/Hospice Unit, for all your care and thoughtfulness, we cannot thank you enough.
