Crupi, Antonina

Antonina Crupi, age 84 years, passed away peacefully in St. Joseph's Hospice on Thursday, December 29, 2011.

Antonina was born on September 22, 1927 in Siderno, Marina, Italy to Michele and Francesca Crupi. She came to Thunder Bay in 1957 with her daughter to join her husband Michele. Antonina enjoyed sewing, cooking and spending time with family and friends. She was also a faithful member of St. Dominic's Roman Catholic Church.

Survived by her husband of 60 years, Michele; daughter Rosetta (Nick) Commisso of Schreiber; grandchildren Cindy and Nicholas; twin sister Rosa Leonardo; brothers-in-law Girolamo (Lisa) Crupi and Antonio Crupi and sister-in-law Angelina Crupi. Numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives also survive in Italy and Canada.

Predeceased by her parents; brothers Cosmo, Domenic, Francesco, Joseph and Antonio and sisters Maria, Theresa and Natalina.

Funeral Services for the late Mrs. Antonina Crupi will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 with family and friends gathering in St. Dominic's R.C. Church for the Funeral Mass at 10:30AM. Entombment to follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday evening after 7:30PM with Vigil Prayers being offered at 8:00PM at the church.

If friends so desire, donations in memory of Antonina to the Northern Cancer Fund or St. Joseph's Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
