Davis, Georgina

Mrs. Georgina Davis, age 92 years, died at St Joseph's Hospital on Thursday, March 19 2009, after a short illness. Georgina was the second eldest child of Benjamin Nash and Fanny McClure Nash of Ignace. Her family was her greatest joy. Georgina is survived by her daughters: Frances Zawerucha and Georgina (Victor) Dmitriew and son John Davis. She was a proud and loving grandmother and great-grandmother to Tracy (Terry) Nicholls, Janice Zawerucha, Melanie Zawerucha, Brian, Caitlin and Meghan Dmitriew, Jeffrey (Jennifer) Nicholls and Simon Zawerucha. Special aunt to the Davis nieces, Betty Sheedy and Valerie Morrow. She is also survived by many caring step-grandchildren and other relatives. She was predeceased by her husband J.H. (Jack) Davis in 1967. Cremation has taken place. Funeral Services for the late Mrs. Georgina Davis will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at 1:30 PM in the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore Street at James, with Rev. Randy Boyd officiating.
