DeSchutter, Julian (Joe)
Mr. Julian (Joe) DeSchutter, 432 Shamrock Crescent, passed away peacefully December 20th, 2010. Born in Fort William, ON January 31st, 1923, he served in the Lake Superior Regiment World War II. He was employed at Husky Oil for 11 years then employed as an Iron Worker Local 759 of Thunder Bay until his retirement in 1981. He was a longtime member of the Royal Canadian Legion. His main interests were his family. He is survived by his wife Mary, daughters Karen, Teresa (Gordon), sons Robert, Jim (Elaine), grandchildren Luke, Sam, Emma, Micheal, Nicole, Jessie, Kate, Jody and Mitchell, great grandson Austin, brother Joseph of Winnipeg, sister Alice Pelletier of Tecumseh, ON. He was predeceased by his parents Alice and Joseph DeSchutter, youngest son Richard, brother Philip, Emil, Alphonse, Albert, Blondine (Potvin). Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church on Friday, December 24th, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
