Passed away in Thunder Bay on July 4, 2011 at the age of 91 years; eldest of 7 children, born on her family's homestead farm near Dubuc, Sask. Moved to Fort William in 1943 to become a riveter at Can Car, and settled in Westfort. Predeceased by husband William (Bill) Dowhy (1973); parents William and Margaret Lambie; in-laws Jack and Wasylena Dowhy; brother, Robert; sisters Evelyn and Dorothy. Survived by daughters Donna Dowhy and Leona Stolz (Reg), son Lorne (Nebraska); sister, Jean Anderson, (Edmonton); brothers, Arthur (Marie) Lambie (Yorkton), John (Vi) Lambie (McKenzie); brothers-in-law, Ed Shannon, (Creston), Harry Fetterly, (North Bay); sister-in-law, Dot Lambie, (Saskatoon); and grandchildren Adrienne, Alena, Dawn, Robin and Logan; great grandchildren Morgan and Madison, nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will follow.
