Funeral Mass for Mr. Andrew Dzijacky, who died Saturday, August 23, 2008, was held on Wednesday, August 27, 2008, in St. Dominic's Church, celebrated by Rev. Daniel Lapolla c.s. The readings were proclaimed by Jennifer Kelly and Melissa Turk. The offertory gifts were presented by Sarah and Rachel Parkes and Whitney Kelly. Words of remembrance were spoken by Eric Siegwart. The church choir was in attendance accompanied by the organist, Mary Ann Marshalok with soloist Jackie Perna. Services were largely attended by family and long time friends. Interment followed at Mountain View Cemetery. A time of fellowship was held at the Slovak Legion. Vigil prayers were offered on Tuesday evening in St. Dominic's Church led by Seminarian Victor DeGagne. Honourary Pallbearers were brothers, John Dzijacky and George Dzijacky, and granddaughters, Deena Curtis, Whitney Kelly, Lindsay Nardone, Melissa Turk, Laura Siegwart, Sarah Parkes, Rachel Parkes and Jennifer Kelly. The Active Pallbearers were grandsons, Ryan McDonald, Andrew Siegwart, Joshua Siegwart, Tanner McDonald, Adam McDonald, Benjamin Parkes and Jerry Kelly Jr. Attending the services from out of town were Shannon, Raymond and Georgia Rae Spooner, Andrew Siegwart, Chris Haywood, Joshua, Kelli and Scarlett Siegwart, Lindsay, Gabe and Leila Nardone, Laura Siegwart, Ross Coullier, Frank and Rossalyn Dzijacky, Martha Hamilton, James, Michael, Patrick, James Jr, Eric, Renee and Phyllis Dawson, Carol-Ann DiGuiseppe, and Ben and Irene Parkes. WORDS OF THANKS The family of the late Andrew Dzijacky would like to extend a sincere thank you to the Shuniah Fire Department, doctors and staff of Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre for their compassion and treatment shown to Andrew. A special thanks to Rev. Daniel Lapolla C.S. of St. Dominic's Church for his comforting words of tribute. Warmest thanks to everyone who sent flowers or food, made charitable donations in memory of Andrew, also for the sympathy cards, mass cards, phone calls, e-mails and thank you to all who attended the services.
