FERGUSONMrs. Rose Elizabeth Ferguson (Boyes), age 91 years, a resident of Dawson Court, formerly of 408 Frankwood Avenue, passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday, March 29, 2001.Born in 1909 at Kashabowie Portage, Rose was a lifetime resident of the Thunder Bay Area. She was an active member of Unit 11, St. Paul's United Church and a lifetime member of the United Church Women's Group. Her main interests were family, her flower garden, cottage at Silver Islet - and she especially enjoyed a variety of music.Rose is survived by her daughter Arlene (Vernon) Robertson; son Bill (Lenore) Ferguson; two grandsons: Mark Sokolowski (Lori Kay), Craig (Kerrie) Ferguson; great grandson David Sokolowksi, all of Thunder Bay; three brothers Rupert (Grace) Boyes, Ernie (Ann) Boyes, George Boyes, sister-in-law Mary Boyes, all of Thunder Bay; two sisters Jennie Shkrabek of Brighton ON and Bella Cameron of Whitby ON. Rose was predeceased by her husbandWilliam Grant Ferguson in 1974; parents Lisa and Nelson Boyes; sister Kate and brother Walter Boyes.Cremation has taken place, and a Memorial Service will be held on Monday, April 2nd at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Harbourview Funeral Centre, 499 North Cumberland Street, officiated by Rev. David Eskdale of St. Paul's United church. Interment will take place in the Family Plot, Riverside Cemetery.If friends so desire, donations may be made in Rose's memory to the Thunder Bay Symphony or to St. Paul'sUnited Memorial Fund.
