Joyce Elizabeth Forbes-Cattani, age 55 years, passed away after a lengthy illness on Friday, April 18, 2008 at St. Joseph's Hospice. Joyce was born in Kirkland Lake and spent much of her life in Thunder Bay. She worked for many years as a Registered Nurses' Assistant and medical secretary. Joyce was an avid reader of medical information. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining for the extended Cattani family. One of her favourite summertime activities was swimming at Trowbridge and Wild Goose Park. Survived by mother Amy, siblings Bruce, Marg and twin sister Janet Forbes, husband Barry Cattani and his sons Cailean and Tyler, mother-in-law Margaret and numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her father Robert. The family wishes to thank the Bayshore Home Health staff especially Meta, Paula and Arlene for the excellent care and compassion shown to Joyce in her final months. Also Thank You to the staff at St. Joseph's Hospice. A celebration of Joyce's life will be held at 58 Peter Street on Saturday, April 26, 2008 with an open house beginning at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to St. Joseph's Care Group-Hospice Unit would be appreciated.
